Christine Wike, PT, cert MDT, CSCS has 16 years of experience in the physical therapy field, and earned her certification to practice Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) approach to health restoration in 2008. MDT, previously referred to as the McKenzie Method, prescribes a philosophy of active patient involvement and education in order to provide long-term solutions that can easily be maintained independently following initial treatment. Christine’s years of MDT training helps her treat patients more efficiently and effectively. Prior to moving to Helena, Christine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology followed by a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University.
Christine’s decision to practice MDT was founded in her personal experience as a competitive runner and cyclist, where she learned the importance of taking a proactive role in addressing injuries and preventing further damage. While attending NAU Christine was a member of the mountain bike team, where she was a Collegiate All American and placed second in the National Finals in 1996. Today, Christine focuses on maintaining optimal health to enjoy the miles of mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and hiking trails near her home - and to keep up with her husband, Les, and daughter, Afton.
